Yesterday I told you about the pie I made for the church Thanksgiving dinner. I also brought was the Cheese Souffles from Nancy’s Appetizers. Aaron, my 16yo son, actually prepared these for me because I was trying to freshen up between work and the dinner. The Cheese Souffles were easy to bake just remove them from the box, place them on a cookie sheet and bake for 9 minutes. They were delicious but very small. I understand that these are appetizers but we all felt they were tiny and with only 12 in a box, they weren’t going to last long.

Since I had taste tested one at home there were only 11 to bring to church and they were all gone before everyone got through the buffet line. The Cheese Souffles were well received and rather tasty. They retail for $3.99 and can be found in the freezer section of many supermarkets.

Maybe I prepare too much food for my parties bu,t I would want there to be enough of each appetizer for each guest to have 2-3. This would mean that I need several boxes of Cheese Souffles, I wish it came in a 36 pack to make buying easier.

If you would like to try a package of any of Nancy’s 12-count appetizers, you can win a coupon for a free package from me. You can choose from: Cheese Souffles, 3 Cheese Spinach Stars, and other appetizers.

The deli spirals would be great and there is 32 of them in a box, 16 of each flavor, so I’d like to try them.

I have a gravatar. This is a photo of a painting I did on my mother-in-laws gift box last year for Christmas. We gave each other small gifts last year, but I wanted her to have something special too, so I handpainted her gift box that her small throw blanket was in.
It’s a painting of a Snowcouple, The fatter, bigger one is on the left and is a lady with a ring on her branchy stick finger. The one on the right is a little more in the background, and thinner. He’s the snow hubby and he too has a ring on. There are birdhouses with birds and Mountains with snow in the background. There is a cloudy grayish sky. The grass is fading green with just a touch of snow on top of it. There is a sign hanging between the two bird houses that reads SNOW LOVERS. Then the husband is holding onto a sign that is also suspended from a bare branched bush that has cranberries strung on it, as well as a couple of mittens on the tree for decoration. The sign the husband is holding onto reads:
We love Jesus, he washes our sins white as snow.
So, this isn’t a picture of me, but of a Christmas Winter Time painting, so I think it’s pretty appropriate for this time of the year.

I was quite upset that I could not find the familiar red box. The cheese souffle appetizers now come in a bland white box. I was dissapointed also that the flavor is not as good as I remembered. I happen to love the Cheese Souffle and The Mushroom turnovers. It was so hard finding both in my store because the package has changed..
