Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite moderate resort on Disney property. For me it has that perfect mix of quaint, quiet relaxing southern charm and Disney hospitality and theming. I have stayed there 3-4 times and I can’t wait to stay there again.
Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ) is one of the smallest Moderate resorts with only 1008 guest rooms and its size is part of what lends to its charm. Each quest building overlooks quaint, well landscaped streets that add to the New Orleans ambiance of the resort.
Your quick service dining location is the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory where you can dine on New Orleans favorites like beignets and Muffaletta sandwiches as well as typical food court fare like pizza and burgers.
We love to take a break in the hot Florida afternoon to relax and cool off in the resort’s pool-Doubloon Lagoon. The sea serpent waterslide is a family favorite!
Have you ever stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter? What is your favorite thing about the resort? I love how quiet it is and of course…the beignets!
