Last week I teased you with a bit of information about the Monstrous Summer All-Nighter this week I’ll give you some more details. We arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 4:00am on 5/24/13 because we were also there as part of the Disney Parks Blog Monstrous Summer Meet-Up, which I wrote about on RandomActsOfDisneyKindness.com. (It’s ok, click the link, it will open in a new window. Read that post first then come back here.) Originally one of our goals was to do every attraction in the Magic Kingdom in 24 hours but since we were out of the park for 5 hours for the meet-up we didn’t reach that goal. I keep saying “we” so let me introduce you to the cast of characters for our 26 hours of insanity.

We did succeed in completing all of the attractions in Adventureland plus 2 rides on Big Thunder Mountain before we left for Downtown Disney. When we returned from the meet-up we headed to lunch at Be Our Guest. I was sad to see that they had removed my favorite steak sandwich from the menu and replaced it with a sliced roast beef sandwich instead. The roast beef was good but nothing special and this change removes Be Our Guest from the top of my favorite lunch places in Walt Disney World. After our late lunch we traveled throughout Frontierland and Tomorrowland experiencing many attractions along our travels. By 5pm Aaron was getting tired and announced he was going to head home early (wimp). So at 7:30pm we headed to the front of the park and freshened up at our lockers while bidding Aaron a safe drive home.

The rest of the crew headed to the tables outside the Plaza Restaurant where we were able to claim our spot for the Main Street Electrical Parade, Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. While we waited for the parade Kim, Jordan and Verlin enjoyed Dole Whips while I cooled off with a Root Beer Float.

After Wishes we headed back to Storybook Circus because it was Verlin’s birthday and he wanted his picture taken with Goofy.

Since we were in Storybook Circus we wandered through the store, rode Barnstormer, Dumbo and the Mad Tea Party. We wandered into Rocket Tower Plaza and watched a bit of Monster’s Inc. on the big screen, this was a great way to relax for about a half hour. We rode the PeopleMover (again) before heading down to the castle for the Up All Night Dance Party. By this time we were all getting a bit sleepy but I woke up after dancing the Cupid Shuffle with a few hundred friends in front of Cinderella Castle.

Several of the Fantasyland attractions were closed from 2:00-4:00am so at 4…24 hours after we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, we headed to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Prince Charming Royal Carousel and experience Enchanted Tales with Belle. At 5am Jordan and Verlin were chosen to be the suits of armor in Enchanted Tales with Belle!

After leaving Belle we headed back to the castle for more dance party before heading to the front of the park.We skipped the finale singing of the Mickey Mouse Club theme song at the train station so we could clean out our lockers and head to the monorail at 6:00am…26 hours after we arrived. After arriving at the TTC we found our car in the 18th parking spot in the front row of the Aladdin parking lot and headed home.

We had an amazing time at the Monstrous All-Nighter and most of us would do it again in a heartbeat…Kim and Aaron aren’t so sure! Did you do the all-nighter? Link up your post about your experience or just leave me a note in the comments.

Disney is so much fun! Looks like you had a great trip! It’s on our list of places to go. We’re most likely going to go in a couple of years. It truly is “the happiest place on earth”

You always amaze me! I would have loved to try it, but I think I’d wimp out too. I’m trying to remember the sandwich you mentioned at Be Our Guest that changed.
