I know a lot of Disney “purists” aren’t fans of Hester & Chester’s Dino-rama being plopped in Dinoland, USA in Animal Kingdom but I am a fan. Hester & Chester’s Dino-rama is a quirky, old-school style dino-themed midway. According to the legend, in 1947 rare dinosaur fossils were found in the area and a group of scientists bought up the land in the area of the find but locals Hester & Chester wouldn’t sell. Instead, they opened their Dino-rama to try and cash in on the find.
Hester & Chester’s Dino-rama features rides, games, snacks, face painting and shopping all with a dinosaur theme. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing info about the rides, Primeval Whirl and Triceratop Spin, the Fossil Fun games but today I thought I’d share some photos of the fun theming found in this area of Animal Kingdom.

Currently Hester & Chester aren’t scheduled for any meet and greets but they have come out to visit in the past so…who knows when they may make an appearance again. There is a photo spot where Goofy and Pluto often make appearances just outside the Dino-rama area. Who needs characters when you have a fun cutout and fun house mirrors?
