Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort on the shores of Bay Lake is a beautiful Victorian Era inspired deluxe resort. We had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Floridian during the 2011 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. Our favorite thing about staying at the Grand Floridian was being on the monorail loop and having easy access to the Magic Kingdom.
As a deluxe resort, the rooms here are more spacious and you pay a pretty penny for that space. Depending on the type of room and time of year the room rates at the Grand Floridian range from $460-$3,210 a night. Personally, I can’t justify that kind of money on a hotel room but maybe you can.
There are some great table service and buffet dining available at the Grand Floridian including Walt Disney World’s ultimate fine dining establishment, Victoria & Albert’s. Citrico’s serves dinner with a Mediterranean flare while Narcoosssess serves up your seafood favorites. 1900 Park Fare is your destination for character buffet dining including the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast with Mary Poppins, Mat Hatter and Alice in Wonderland. Afternoons feature the Wonderland Tea Party for guests ages 4-12. Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner is a wonderful way to spend time with everyone’s favorite princess.
The Grand Floridian also boasts a beachside pool with waterslide and a marina where you can rent watercraft for some fun on Bay Lake.
We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and I’m sure you will too.
