Last fall Walt Disney World announced that Magician Mickey Mouse, whom you can meet at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom, now talks! I was beyond excited to meet this new Mickey. Since I refuse to wait in lines longer than 30 minutes, I didn’t have the opportunity to meet the talking Mickey Mouse until the night of #TypeAWDW. I arrived in the park at 9pm, just as the Main Street Electrical Parade was beginning. Normally I would have just watched the parade since it is one of my favorites but I noticed that the wait time posted at Town Square to meet Mickey Mouse was only 5 minutes!

We entered the queue and went right into Mickey’s dressing room. There was a family with 3 young boys meeting with Mickey and he was telling jokes with them. I was over the moon!! I was absolutely giddy waiting for my turn to talk with Mickey Mouse! When it was my turn hubby recorded my conversation about the Haunted Mansion with Mickey.

I hope you could hear it all. Mickey was so afraid that one of the “happy haunts” had followed us home, he went running all over the room looking for them!

Meeting the talking Mickey Mouse is a must-do for everyone visiting the Magic Kingdom. I suggest visiting during a parade or using Fastpass+ to enjoy this magical, memorable experience.

Have you met talking Mickey yet? What did you talk about? Are you excited about meeting him on your next visit?

This is so utterly cute. You looked like a natural with Mickey! Loved the short little video. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I’ve been itching to go back to Disneyland since we were there last in January! I cannot wait to take my kids to see talking Mickey. Do they have one in DisneyWorld? I think that is our next planned Disney vacation.

Jennifer, this is at Walt Disney World not Disneyland. I believe there is a talking Mickey Mouse at Disneyland as well.

I am excited for my kids to finally meet Talking Mickey in May. I don’t care how long the wait will be.

Sandra, I’m not sure but I would assume it is similar to how they do Turtle Talk with Crush.
