As you know, I am a S’mores Addict. I have an entire Pinterest Board dedicated to S’mores Recipes! A few weeks I started to see recipes for S’mores Cones aka Campfire Cones flying around Pinterest and Facebook and I knew I had to try them. Aaron had originally asked me to bring over my fire pit and S’mores fixings for the Father’s Day gathering at his house but…it was just too hot outside. Who wants to sit by a fire in 90° heat to roast a marshmallow? Not me. I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to make S’mores Cones in the oven!
I actually prepped the cones the night before, because I would be busy at church on Sunday morning. I brought the cones to Aaron’s house and when we were ready for dessert, I popped them in the oven for a few minutes and voila! S’mores without the fire pit!
- 24 Ice Cream Sugar Cones
- 1 bag Mini-Marshmallows
- 1 bag Milk Chocolate Chips
- Aluminum Foil
- Fill each cone with marshmallows and chocolate, alternating the flavors as you go.
- Wrap the cone in aluminum foil.
- Place on rack of hot grill (not in flames) for 7-10 minutes.
- OR
- Place on rack in 350° oven for 7-10 minutes.
- Have an adult carefully remove the hot foil and enjoy!
You can make as few or as many cones as you need. I made 24 for the party we were attending.
I thought the cones might make a mess lying down so I stood them up between the rungs on the oven rack. I placed a baking sheet beneath the cones in case of any messy leaks, but there were none.
The S’mores Cones were the hit of the party. My nephew couldn’t wait to go home and make his own! I hope you enjoy this recipe and all of the easy recipes I share here on The Mom Maven. I hope you share them on your social networks. I just ask that you not copy and share the entire recipe with photos. Please use the sharing buttons below and share the link to this post. Thanks!
