As you probably already know, I am a music educator and a worship leader so…I love music. I enjoy a lot of different styles of music but one of my favorite genres of music to listen to is worship music. Depending on my mood my favorite worship recordings can include things by Hillsong United, TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, Misty Edwards, Kim Walker, Kari Jobe or Matt Redmon to name a few. This week I was introduced to the music of Jennifer Shaw and her music fills a niche that no other vocalist has. As my husband called it, “That is beautiful close-your-eyes-and-quietly-worship-God music.”
Jennifer Shaw is first and foremost, a mom. She is a mom of 3 and her youngest is a special needs child. For many of us, that would be enough on our plate, but add to that church worship leader and recording artist and her plate is full.
