LittleMissMatched, the innovative fashion and lifestyle label which launched with the mission to support creativity and celebrate individual style, is excited to announce Project Sock: Season 3. The unique design competition encourages fans to ‘think outside the socks’ and evoke their inner designer for a day. Lucky winners’ creations will become part of the upcoming LittleMissMatched Holiday 2011 collection.

The contest presents a one of a kind opportunity for fans and imaginative minds of all ages to put on their mis-match thinking caps by designing a 3-pack of socks for an upcoming collection. Project Sock: Season 3 is set to launch on February 15th, 2011 and runs through April 5th, 2011 at 6pm EST, and is expected to be the biggest and boldest competition yet.
“LittleMissMatched fans are incredibly inventive and we’re always thrilled to invite them to become part of our design process. Our Project Sock contests have been exceptionally successful, with the winning designs becoming some of our best selling packs across the company. We’re anxious to see what’s to come,” says Jonah Staw, LittleMissMatched co-founder and CEO.

Everyone is encouraged to enter— from inspired artists and budding designers, to creative spirits alike. LittleMissMatched is all about breaking the rules. With the motto ‘nothing matches, but anything goes’, contestants are awarded free reign to craft the ultimate ‘socktastic’ design, with few restrictions. The only rule is that contestants must design a 3-pack of socks: no pairs or matching socks allowed! Dare to be bold and create a triplet of wildly non-related socks, or coordinate the set – the choice is yours. Contestants will download a sock template upon entering the competition, which may be designed by hand or using a favorite computer design program.

A panel of LittleMissMatched judges will select the top 24 standout designs to be uploaded to an online voting gallery for enthusiasts, contestants, and critics alike to bid on their favorites. One victorious entry, selected by LittleMissMatched aficionados, will become part of an upcoming collection to be sold in LittleMissMatched stores nationwide and online at littlemissmatched.com, as well as $1,000 cash prize and 10 packs of their winning design. An additional five entries will be selected by LittleMissMatched VIPs to become part of the same collection, and awarded $250 and 10 packs each of their winning designs. New for Project Sock: Season 3, one of these 5 finalists will be under 12 years of age.
