Hi! I’m Cindy, aka Mom Maven, I am 50 years old and I deal with bladder leakage. There, my big secret is out in the open for everyone to know. I also know I am not the only woman who has this problem because 1 in 3 American women, over 51 million of us, experience bladder leakage. The most common causes of bladder leakage are pregnancy, childbirth and diabetes. I have proudly been pregnant and given birth a few times so to me bladder leakage is a badge of honor that goes with the territory of being a mom.

Depend Silhouette Active Fit Briefs have you covered for bladder leakage

I experience bladder leakage when I sneeze, cough, laugh and…when I ride thrill rides. Most of you know I spend a good deal of time having fun at the Florida theme parks. As I have gotten older, those trips have included some <ahem> problems. Thankfully, the Depend brand is introducing Depend Silhouette Active Fit briefs, a new moderate-absorbency brief that features a thin design for complete comfort with the trusted protection of the Depend brand and a lower rise+ for an underwear-like look, fit and feel. Now I can ride my favorite rides and not worry.

Depend is joining forces with CVS Health to support women with bladder leakage as they navigate their path to better health. To learn more about Depend Silhouette Active Fit, click that link.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts

I wore my Depend Silhouette briefs to Walt Disney World. My first reaction was to how well they fit. I am a larger woman and these briefs fit well. These briefs are also comfortable. I was afraid they would be bulky and uncomfortable to wear, but, I was wrong. The only downside of the Depend Silhouette briefs is the fact that these briefs don’t breathe like cotton briefs breathe. This particular day it was 95° outside, you can see in the video that I am a bit sweaty. As the day went on, the briefs acted like sauna pants holding in all the sweat and that was not so pleasant.

I don’t have leakage issues, but there is a whole group of moms in my zumba class who do & there is always a collective sigh when a song with jumps comes on!

I think it’s great that attention is being brought to products like this and they are no longer taboo. And I also like that they are coming up with designs that will work for the everyday woman.

It’s crazy to me that bladder leakage is so prevalent. I think this is a great option for those of us that leak a little, but I do wish they were breathable options.

Bouncing on the trampoline with my 3 girls is what gets me… oh and yes a good sneeze can lead to some embarrassing moments. Glad to know these are not only effective but comfy as well.

I’ve had to contend with this myself. Different things aggravate it. My doctor said most people deal with it at one point or another.

This is such a widespread thing with women. I’m surprised they’re just now making something that doesn’t look like a diaper. I love it!
