I have a new movie review and giveaway to share with you today. Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of “Legacy Peak” for this review. Opinions are 100% my own.
We’ve been so busy I hadn’t even read the email that informed me that I was chosen to do this review, except to scroll to the bottom where they list the dates everything was due and get it all in my calendar so I wouldn’t be late on anything. I had no idea what “Legacy Peak” was about when we sat down to watch it the other night. I was excited and surprised to see that it was a family adventure movie!
About Legacy Peak
Synopsis
Jason wants nothing more than to have Noelle’s kids like him. But when a perfectly planned trip to a mountain cabin falls apart, the ensuing adventure could tear them apart or bring them closer than they ever imagined. Together they’ll discover how to trust again and what it means to be a family.
“Legacy Peak” is an inspiring family adventure movie about perseverance and moving
on from the past. It’s a message every family member can learn something from.
Mom Maven’s Thoughts
We really enjoyed “Legacy Peak” We didn’t know what it was about when it started and we weren’t expecting an adventure movie, but we were happy to watch it. We enjoyed watching Jason’s character grow and change as he encountered difficulties along his journey, both the physical journey, his spiritual journey.
Ron and I both said that the spiritual aspects of the movie felt real and natural, not forced and awkward as in many Christian films. The Bible says to “pray without ceasing”, I believe Jason was probably doing that during the harrowing part of this movie. There were times when things got especially tough that they stopped and prayed as a family, which is a very powerful thing.
I’d recommend “Legacy Peak” for families with kids ages 8+. You can go to Pure Flix and stream it starting September 22, 2022. If you don’t subscribe to Pure Flix yet, you can enter to win a subscription below.
