The Zhip is a great gift for lots of people on your holiday shopping list. A Zhip would be a great gift for a techie, a mom, dad, teen, traveler, fitness enthusiast…the list is endless. Anyone with a smartphone or iPod Touch would love a Zhip because it easily turns their mobile handheld device into an instant “on-the-go” entertainment center! This affordable little gadget would have certainly come in handy on my flights to and from Los Angeles last week.
The Zhip (pronounced “zip”) uses a sturdy, “no-drop ,” three-foot extendable zip cord to anchor any smartphone to:
- The back of a car seat to entertain the kids while on the road with movies, music videos, and games (a great “tool” for busy Moms!)
- Exercise equipment at home or at the gym to make workouts more enjoyable
- The back of an airplane seat to enjoy personal entertainment selections on long flights
- To simply suspend a phone or iPod touch from any desired hard surface or work space for easy viewing and access
The Zhip expands to fit any mobile device and features special retractable, “scratch-free” grip handles with protective padding that attach tightly around a mobile handheld to safeguard and secure even the most expensive device. The unit is compact (it measures 27/8″ x 13/8″ x 3/4″) and can easily fit into a small pocket. Plus, the Zhip is made from 100 percent polycarbonate “bullet-proof” material – making it extra strong and unbreakable – and comes equipped with a desktop stand.
The Zhip is affordably priced at $24.95 MSRP. The Zhip is currently available at the eStore at www.thezhip.com and retails in Best Buy stores. “Zhip it. Clip it. Go!” to watch movies and more anywhere, anytime … and take your entertainment center on the road.
What do you think? Is this a gift you want to receive? Would this be a good gift for someone on your list? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Oh yes this will be a great gift for anyone, I personally would use myself, I would use it for the back seat to keep the 2 month entertained when he can’t see us. with the rear facing seats he can’t see us but hear us. I would record something on our phones and use it so he can see us.

I’d love to purchase one of these as a gift for my husband but there doesn’t seem to be an option to purchase one any more. Bummer

Courtney, I checked http://www.thezhip.com and you are right. Hmmm. I emailed the PR company that I worked with for the review and asked them what was going on. I’ll keep you posted.
