Happy New Year! I have been working hard to set 2015 up to be a very productive year. One of the ways I am doing that is by setting goals in all 4 major areas of my life. For 2014, my word was “New” and it was a year full of new experiences and life changes. For 2015 my word is “Focus”. I tend to have a lot of great ideas but I seldom succeed at truly finishing any of them. This year, that is going to change. One way to stay focused is to set goals and keep those goals in the forefront of my mind as I go through each day.

January 2015 goal setting and focus

One way I will be accountable for my goals is through a goals group I joined on Facebook. We are a small group of Christian moms who blog who have banded together to support each other as we grow in all areas of our lives. Each month, hopefully on the last Friday or Saturday of the month, I will share my successes and failures of the current month and my goals for the next month. I appreciate your support and input as I tackle these goals and I invite you to join me on this journey and set some goals for yourself. If you blog about your goals, then please link up your post in the linky at the bottom, that way we can all support each other.

Business

  • Complete the Content Brew self-paced course and have at least 6 weeks of content planned for my blog.
  • Participate in the Type-A Parent 2015 Next Level Blog Challenge and complete the January Challenge.
  • Complete the January Media Kit Smash class and finally have a professional media kit!
  • Increase my pageviews by 10%, you can help by sharing my blog posts on your social media!

Personal

  • Go to bed by 11:00pm
  • Drink at least 64oz of water a day
  • Get in at least 5,000 steps a day

Spiritual

  • Read my Bible daily
  • Spend time in prayer daily
  • Take part in a Bible Study-I am registered for Kay Arthur’s Covenant online class through Women’s Bible Cafe.

Household

  • Meal planning (I did great for 9 months of 2014 I need to get back into it)
  • Daily cleaning (Again I did  great for 9 months)
  • DeClutter. I signed up for the Declutter 365 challenge. I’ve already quit this challenge because of how horrible her website is. It is cluttered with too many ads and skim links. I’m looking for another program that works for me.

Nice list! I plan on drinking more water and paying off credit card debt. Good luck on your goals!

Great goals. I too struggle with focus. Sitting around thinking up great ideas is much easier than implementing:)

I’m also doing the 2015 Type A Challenge! I am also setting goals for the year. I am quitting smoking and writing more. I hope you make all of your goals for 2015.

I like your goals. I have a goal of getting in bed by 10 and exercising 2 times a week. I haven’t done either of those yet! I hope we can encourage you to keep you focus.
