This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scott Tube-Free for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

I will openly admit that I am not the least bit “crunchy” or “green”. While I totally agree we need to take care of this planet God created for us, I tend to push back against the media and marketing hype on many environmental issues. Be that as it may, I do appreciate brands and products who do their part to reduce waste, use recycled ingredients and cut down on unnecessary packaging. That is why I am introducing you to Scott Tube-Free toilet paper. Why not? We’ve talked about incontinence and irritable bowel syndrome, toilet paper goes right along with those topics.

Fear not, I am not suggesting you stop using toilet paper as some of my “super green” friends have done. I am just suggesting you make a change in the kind of toilet paper you use. Switching to a product with less waste makes a lot of sense. Just give Scott Tube-Free a try. When you click that link you can take a brief quiz that will compute approximately how many toilet paper tubes your family will use in a lifetime. I was shocked to see that we would use over 13,000!

Scott Tube-Free Toilet Paper

Why should you go tube-free? Well, the average family uses approximately 150 rolls of toilet paper each year. Unless you create a lot of toilet paper tube crafts, you don’t need the tube (they’ve been unnecessary for over 100 years). Scott Tube-Free is  soft and unrolls almost as smoothly any other toilet paper, but there’s no tube to recycle when you finish the roll. Little steps, like changing the toilet paper you use, can have a big impact on the environment. By eliminating the tube, Scott Tube-Free toilet paper gives us an easy way to make a change that reduces waste without sacrificing quality. This change should be a no-brainer, especially for families that already use other Scott toilet paper products.

Toss the Tube with Scott Tube-Free Toilet Paper

Scott Tube-Free teamed up with YouTube prankster Roman Atwood to demonstrate how the toilet paper tubes we use have a big impact on our world. This stunt uses 66,000 tubes, which is the amount of tubes Americans go through in just over two minutes! Take a look!

I don’t think I’d want to be Roman’s friend, you’d never know if he was pranking you or not! Anyway, can you believe that we use that many tubes every two minutes? That is just crazy!

I actually love this. I used to buy the tube free paper from Big Lots years ago and was bummed when I couldn’t find it anymore! I’m stoked to see it come back 😉

I had no idea how much waste toilet paper tubes create until I read this! 13,000 tubes over a lifetime is amazing it really puts things into perspective. I’ve been making small eco-friendly changes, and switching to Scott Tube-Free seems like such an easy step to reduce waste. And thanks for sharing the quiz link.
