Here in Florida we know the rules of sun safety but a lot of people don’t follow them on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter if you live in Florida, Michigan, Oregon or anywhere in between-you need to be sun smart every day.

I have watched friends go through treatment for skin cancer too and it isn’t pretty. Men who work outside are at a huge risk. I know a man who has lost a chunk of his nose and another who is missing a part of his cheek, it isn’t pretty. Skin cancer is rather preventable and Banana Boat want you to get Sun Certified.

Visit Banana Boat’s Facebook page and take the short “Sun Certification” quiz. You will receive a “Sun Certified” badge to display on their own Facebook wall and trigger a $1 donation to support The Skin Cancer Foundation’s sun education initiatives, for a total donation of up to $101,000.

Summer is here so make sure you are Sun Certified and help Banana Boat donate to The Skin Cancer Foundation.
