Beauty Box 5 April 2015 review

This month’s box included 4 products I really liked and one that didn’t work well for me at all.

Lasting Smiles Lip Balm

I received the Lasting Smiles Passionfruit Mango Organic Lip Balm 0.15oz tube and I really liked it! I am a lip balm snob. It has to last and it has to moisturize, this lip balm did that and it tasted great too. I took this with me on vacation last week and it was the only lip balm I used. At $4.99 a tube it is a bit pricey for a lip balm but if you keep in mind that it is organic and it supports faretrade farmers around the globe the price makes a bit more sense.

Dancin’ Goat Lotion

The Dancin’ Goat Hula Bliss Body Lotion was a surprise for me. I loved the scent and the thickness of the lotion. It also works well. I also brought this on my vacation and used it to soothe my weary feet after walking 8-12 miles a day. I also love that this is made with natural ingredients that I can proniunce. I received a sample bottle but an 8oz bottle sells for $17.99.

Incoco Nail Appliques

The Incoco Nail Polish Applique Set is the one product that let me down. From the beginning, I wasn’t impressed with the pattern, a black lace over hot pink design. The night before vacation I sat down to apply the appliques and they just didn’t work. I had trouble finding widths to match my nails and then some of them ripped while I was applying them. I have used a few other brands of nail polish appliques and these were the worst, by far. I ended up removing the ones I did get on and I went on vacation with naked fingernails . A set sells for $8.99.

Style Essentials Lip Gloss

I’m not much of a lip gloss girl but the Style Essentials TwinGloss was pretty nice. I like how it applies 2 complimentary shades of gloss at the same time. It wasn’t too sticky and it made my lips shiny! A 0.03oz tube sells for $2.50 so it is affordable too.

First Aid Beauty Cleanser

I brought the First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser samples with me on vacation because they were easy to pack. The cleanser does a great job at cleaning away the grime and sweat of the day and leaving my face moisturized too. It is paraben-free and safe for sensitive skin so go get a 5oz bottle for $20.00.

I received one or more of the products or services mentioned for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I really like the idea of having those products! I travel a lot especially now in the summer and my beauty box is something I always have to have with me! I need to buy a new cleanser because cleaning my face is the most important thing when traveling. Thank you for sharing! I would love to try out the First Aid Beauty Cleanser! Lovely review!
