I was first introduced to FyrFlyz this summer at the Mom Select party at Type-A Parent Conference. Maria Bailey was handing out these fun, light up toys for us to play with. We had so much fun at the party that I was thankful to get one to take home. Jordan has been playing with it ever since. Then this summer I was approached about doing a review of FyrFlyz and since we were already hooked I agreed!
We brought our FyrFlyz with us to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Jordan played with it while he was walking through the park and while we were waiting to see Happy Hallowishes Fireworks Spectacular and the Boo To You Parade. We had several kids ask where to buy them, and they were kind of sad when we told them Toys R Us and CVS…not in the park.
Aaron loves playing with the settings on my camera and he took these cool shots of Jordan playing with the FyrFlyz.
FyrFlyz were created by i-Star Entertainment President Joel Rosenzweig and CEO Marty Abrams, who has been the driving force behind a number of successful product launches over the past 35 years including Magna Doodle, Micronauts (the precursor to Transformers), and Sky Dancers. The company has earned a reputation for identifying, creating and bringing to market some of the hottest and most innovative products for kids, tweens and teens. The introduction of FyrFlyz will deliver a one-of–a-kind entertainment experience for fans of all ages.
Each FyrFlyz toy is a precision balanced instrument designed to spin on its axis. Simply by swinging the connected two strings and applying tension or allowing slack, kids create a continuous movement (figure eights, rings, etc.). The fun begins when the lights go out and the FyrFlyz multi-color LED lights turn the movement into an amazing light show that kids can play themselves or show their friends.
Kids can spin their FyrFlyz to create a wide array of tricks: they can turn them sideways to create slick Sydwynders, pull tight to create whizzing Black Holes or loosen the strings to make Shooting Stars – the more they spin, the more unique their tricks. As kids develop their skills, there are no boundaries to what their imaginations can create.
Fyrflyz completely sold out in their first weekend on the shelves at FAO Schwarz in New York City, which just goes to show how cool this new toy really is! Now through Saturday, September 24th, Fyrflyz are Buy 2 get the 3rd FREE at Toys R Us! We can already tell you that Fyrflyz will surely be a hot holiday toy this year, so why wait until the last minute? Stock up now with this amazing offer before they sell out completely!

I bet that it was fun taking those with you. They look like really cool toys. Plus, they appear to be really safe and more active than a video game.

My soon to be 7 year old has asked for some of these. I’ll probably be making a trip out to Toys R Us before his party next weekend. Thanks for the review.
