I made the Banana-Caramel Ice Cream Pie for my dad for Father’s Day.

Banana-Caramel Ice Cream Pie

Prep time 15 minutes plus freezing time
Serves 12

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups light vanilla ice cream

1 9inch ready to use chocolate cookie pie crust

1/2 cup hot fudge sauce

2 bananas sliced

1 1/2 cups chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream (I just used chocolate ice cream)

2 1/2 cups dulce-de-leche ice cream

1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed

walnuts for garnish if desired

Directions

1. Spoon vanilla ice cream into cookie crust, spread evenly. Freeze about 15 minutes or until firm.

2. Spoon fudge sauce into ziptop freezer bag, snip 1 corner and pipe sauce in an even layer over ice cream. Top with bananas. Freeze about 30 minutes or until just firm.

3. Spoon chocolate-chocolate chip ice cream over bananas, spreading as evenly as possible. If needed place in freezer to firm. Scoop dulche-de-leche ice cream on top. Spoon dollops of whipped topping around top edge of pie. Freeze until firm, top slices with more dollops of whipped cream and walnuts.

Each serving is about 340 calories.

Banana Caramel Ice Cream Pie

As you can see in my photo album, the pie was well received by kids and adults alike. There are lots of other recipes we want to try like: s’mores ice cream pie, orange-banana pops, and grilled banana splits to name a few. If you give this recipe a try leave me a comment and let me know how it turned out.
Disclosure: I received a copy of the bookazine for the purpose of this review. All opinions are 100% mine.
