Each Wednesday night at church I lead our Girl’s Ministries. Currently I teach the middle school class but last week we mixed it up a bit. Last week I joined the 1st-4th grade girls for a craft project sponsored by Elmer’s! A few weeks earlier I had received this awesome wooden box that contained one adult kit and 5 kids kits and a Walmart gift card to purchase additional supplies.

I searched the craft ideas at Elmers.com but I didn’t find anything that struck my fancy so I reverted to my crafting love…scrapbooking. Though I haven’t actively scrapped for about 5 years I love the process of creatively capturing our family memories. So last week the girls created memory folders out of Elmer’s Mini Bi-Fold Foam Boards.

Adult Supply Kit

The adult supply kit contained:

· CraftBond Gel Pens

· CraftBond Extra Strength Glue Stick

· CraftBond Tape Runner

· Painters Markers

· X-ACTO Zigzag and Scallop scissor packs

· X-ACTO 8” Scissors

· X-ACTO Punch

Kids Supply Kit (mini bi-fold foam board not pictured)

Each kids kit included:
· CraftBond Extra Strength Glue Stick

· CraftBond Glue Spots

· Project Popperz Markers

· Mini Bi-Fold Foam Board

I brought lots of scrapbooking papers, borders, stickers and punchouts too. I explained to the girls what we would be making and that they should leave room to add pictures when they got home. Each girl chose their color scheme and embellishments and myself, Miss Kim and our helper Colleen assisted the girls as needed.

    Wow, wish I would have know about the Elmers craft idea website before. I am a Clover Kids and have struggled to come up with different crafty ideas. I just planned my entire next year, using many of the projects I found on this site. Thanks so much.

    ‘Cause my daughters love to read, the Colorful Bookends project would be fun. The project uses Elmer’s Craft Bond Tack Glue and Elmer’s 3D Washable Paint Pens.
