Over 35 years ago, my cousin Diane gave my mom a copy of the Campbell’s cookbook “Cooking with Soup”. Over the years, my mother made many recipes from that cookbook. Two family favorites were the Old-Fashioned Meatloaf and the Glori-Fried Chops. Shortly after I was married, I asked my mom for the meatloaf recipe, it is the only meatloaf I had ever really liked. Instead of copying the recipe for me she gave me the entire book! My tweaked version of that meatloaf recipe is prepared in my kitchen about once a month and is usually served with french fries or tater tots and corn.
- 1 can 10.5 oz Campbell's Condensed Tomato Soup
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 TBS A1 Steak Sauce
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Wash your hands well.
- Mix ingredients thoroughly using your hands.
- Place in a meatloaf pan.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Slice and serve,
I hope you enjoy this recipe and all of the easy recipes I share here on The Mom Maven. I hope you share them on your social networks. I just ask that you not copy and share the entire recipe with photos. Please use the sharing buttons below and share the link to this post. Thanks!

I have one of these cookbooks, as there are a few different versions. The one I have, I made the mistake of loaning it to someone, and when I got it back, several pages were missing. I am looking for a recipe from one of these books, that was on page 10….Frankfurters n Noodles. Please if you have it in your book, email it to me. Thank You.

Nora, I just looked and unfortunately, that recipe isn’t in my book. A quick Google search brought me this though 🙂 http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/main-course-pasta/skillet-franks-n-noodles.html Enjoy!

TRIED MEATLOAF WITH TOMATO SOUP AND DRIED LIPTON SOUP. TEXTURE OF MEATLOAF IS LIKE MUSH. WHY IS THAT?
cindy says
Beverly, I have no idea. The recipe doesn’t call for dried Lipton soup so obviously you didn’t follow this recipe.
