I’m happy to say that I have finally found another macaroni/pasta salad that the entire family likes! I have yet to share our go-to pasta salad but today I’m sharing a very versatile Mac Salad that I found on Pinterest. This recipe is so versatile because you can vary the type of pasta and add in additional ingredients to ramp it up a bit. One day I cut up some leftover honey barbecue chicken and mixed it in with the Mac Salad and it was delicious! You could also add peas, tomatoes, red and yellow peppers or other veggies to give this basic salad an upgrade.

Ingredients
1 lb pasta (elbow macaroni, small shells, spiral etc)
8-16 oz sour cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp celery powder
Directions
1. In a large pan. boil pasta according to package directions.
2. Drain pasta and run under cold water.
3. In a large bowl, mix together sour cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and celery powder.
4. Add cooled pasta and mix well. **NOTE Start by adding 8oz sour cream. If salad seems too dry add more. I used large bowtie pasts because I had it on hand and I think because of the size of the pasta, my salad needed 16 oz of sour cream.
5. When pasta is coated with sour cream mixtures, add Parmesan cheese and mix well.
6. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
