To make this recipe even easier you could use a box mix of brownies but I didn’t have one on hand so I whipped up brownies from scratch using ingredients I had on hand. This is also a great recipe to make with the kids. They will really enjoy decorating the Easter Bark.

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter melted and cooled
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Easter Bark
  • 12 oz white chocolate melting chocolate
  • 8 oz pink melting chocolate
  • sprinkles
  • small Easter Candy I used Cadbury Chocolate Eggs
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Generously Spray an 8×8″ baking pan with non-stick spray and set aside.

  2. Using a large strainer over a mixing bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking powder so there are no lumps.

  3. In a separate bowl mix together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla.

  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just combined.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-23 minutes, until done.

  6. Remove brownies from the oven and cool for about 15 minutes before removing from pan and placing on cooling rack.

  1. Once the brownies are completely cooled, melt your chocolate. Carefully set up 2 double boilers, each with about an inch of water in the bottom pan. Place each type of melting chocolate  in its own upper pan. Stir occasionally, until the chocolate is melted and no lumps remain.

  2. Pour the white chocolate all over the top of the brownies. Follow with the pink chocolate but use that as a drizzle to decoratively add it to the white chocolate.

  3. Quickly add sprinkles and candy on top of the chocolates before they harden.

  4. Cut with a warm, sharp knife and enjoy!

These homemade brownies are so easy to make. I do recommend using a sieve like this one to sift all your dry ingredients through. It makes the batter smoother and mixes them more thoroughly.
