This month Mushu received Merrick’s Kitchen Bites Cowboy Cookout Dog Treats from Chewy.com to review. She has been so picky about treats lately I was concerned if she would like these. The other day, after drying her off from getting caught in the rain on her walk with daddy, I opened the bag of treats and placed them on the couch next to her to see if she would be enticed by the smell…she was! These treats smell yummy because they are made with real foods. I reached in and pulled out a boot-shaped treat and placed it by her. As always, she sniffed it and licked it first, then she gobbled it right up.

About the Merrick’s Kitchen Bites Cowboy Cookout Treats

Merrick Kitchen Bites are all-natural, oven-baked biscuits based on Merrick’s innovative and award-winning classic can recipes. Kitchen Bites start with real deboned meat as the #1 ingredient for a single source of high quality protein, then fresh fruits and vegetables, for a crunchy and healthy treat for dogs. Unlike many biscuits that include rice, flour or wheat, Kitchen Bites are grain-free and gluten-free. These Cowboy Cookout biscuits are oven-baked with real beef, potatoes and carrots.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts

I like that these treats are all-natural and grain-free. There have been no signs of them upsetting Mushu’s sensitive tummy so that is always a plus. The adorable boot and hat biscuit shapes are adorable, though I doubt the dog cares what shape they are in! The treats are a good size for small-medium sized dogs and aren’t too crunchy for Mushu’s little teeth. the most important thing is that my picky little eater likes these healthy treats. I hope your dog does too.
