My sons and I love to bake and one treat we didn’t get around to making this past holiday season were my No-Bake Cookies. I have been making these since I was in jr.high and they are one of my favorite cookies. My 15yo son, Jordan was my accomplice this time with one of my easy recipes.
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
Combine the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk in a saucepan. Heat on medium heat while stirring constantly. Once it starts boiling, allow it to boil for 1 minute and then remove from the heat. Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla and oats. Drop by the spoonful onto wax paper. Allow to cool at least 30 minutes
These delectable, easy-to-make cookies are great to make with kids because you don't need to use the oven.

. We decided to nibble on a few cookies and then we packed up 2 dozen to bring to church on Sunday night. Jordan gave them to Solomon Cudzillo who runs a feeding ministry to the homeless. Solomon is always looking for homemade goodies to bring to the hundreds of people he and his volunteers feed every week.

I love no bake cookies! I had some over break at my boyfriend’s house. Oh, and I love Collective Bias, too.

Those sound delicious! I love to bake with my daughter – it gives us an opportunity to slow down and find time to talk. She learns math skills as well when we measure ingredients.
It’s so kind of you to pass on the cookies – I’m sure they were appreciated!

I just did a post on no bakes back around Christmas. We also know them as Carolina Delights or Preacher Cookies. I think my recipe is just a little different from yours? Will have to compare. Way to go Jordan!

What I love about no bake cookies is not just how simple they are, but the kids feel so proud that they have made them. It’s a great motivator for the kids wanting to help in the kitchen.
