You have probably seen the bar across the top of my site and the occasional pop up inviting you to subscribe to my new newsletter. I have known for years that I should be doing a weekly newsletter but until recently, I didn’t have a clear vision of what that newsletter should include.
I can tell you that this newsletter is not the same as my RSS feed. If you subscribe to my feed via email or a feed reader you get every post I write delivered to you daily. You have also noticed that my feed has changed. Due to the fact that I partner with Amazon, I learned I could not send full posts with affiliate links in them via email. This is why the feed has changed to excerpts only and it is coming from a new service now as well. If you would like to receive every post I write in your email box please subscribe here. My newsletter will include my top post of the week and it will revisit a previous recipe post as well as include other information not found on my blog. My newsletter will be published weekly (day and time to be determined by the survey results. I’ll leave the survey open for the rest of February 2015.
If you would like to receive my new weekly email, beginning in March please fill out this form.

I took the suvey, I try to make sure my wednesdays are not busy blog wise and that I have time to read and sift through emails and talk to other bloggers. Good luck on creating your newsletter. If you are with wordpress I reccomend getting the “mailpoet” plug in. It helps making the newsletter and can be updated in minutes and sent out if you are using your newsletter to send out your own content.

I have never really thought about when would be a good time to get a newsletter. Now that I you asked, though, whatever day it is, I would rather receive it early, as that is when I have time to read emails.

I need to get to work on getting my newsletters set up. I have subscribers, but haven’t sent them anything yet.
I’ve heard Monday is a bad day to send them, that is all I have to contribute.

I’ve been meaning to do a newsletter but rely on people subscribing to my RSS feed since it’s just so much less work. I don’t post daily (at least not usually) so hopefully they don’t feel bombarded!

I’ve got a small mailing list but have never sent an email newsletter. I don’t like too many things by email so I always fear people will think like me and not sign up for it or open it.
