Yes, Braced-lets is not a typo they are bracelets made out of orthodontic materials. I know it sounds crazy, when I was asked to review these bracelets I agreed out of curiosity. Jewelry made out of power chains and brackets, really?

I received a set of 10 Braced-lets and when I showed them to my 16-19 year olds they were not impressed at all. Then I brought them to my 10-15 year olds at church and they went wild!! The girls LOVED them and were fighting over the different color combinations. They immediately wanted to know where they could get more and wanted to know why they weren’t for sale in their orthodontists offices. The girls said they would buy a new one every time they changed the power chain in their mouth! Sounds like a great way for the orthodontists to make some extra money!

Braced-Lets are the brainchild of Dr. Marc Lemchen and Dr. Jennifer Salzer, two top New York City orthodontists, and Jennifer’s sister, Lulu Frost jewelry designer Lisa Salzer.  They are affordable at $5.00 each, durable, collectible and fun for tweens to wear. Since the power chains are stretchy they fit most wrists comfortably.

After sharing my Braced-lets with the girls at church I came home to see this on Facebook: The actucal post is much longer now! These are a huge hit and they are looking for stores, boutiques, Dr.s offices and individuals to sell the Braced-lets so check out their website or Facebook page for more information.

Disclosure: I received an assortment of 10 Braced-lets for the purpose of this review. All of them were given away to the girls at church. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hmm… Interesting. I admit, I first thought your title had a typo in it. I had braces as a preteen. I’m not sure I ever want to wear those things again. Haha! I could see the potential to be cool though.

I’ll have to ask my daughter how she feels about them. Hopefully within the next few months she’ll be sporting braces and maybe braced-lets too.
