I received one or more of the products or services mentioned for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Let me start by saying Congratulations to the Bradenton, FL Bonefish Grill for being chosen for a People’s Choice Award winner for Best Brunch from the Bradenton Herald. In this town, these awards are highly coveted by the businesses and they are kind of a big deal! To celebrate the award, we were invited to Sunday Brunch to check out the creative menu for ourselves and in turn, share our thoughts with you.

We seldom go to Sunday brunch. On Sundays we are at church from 8am-12:30pm and when we are done we often just pick up a pizza for lunch. Last Sunday we headed across town to Bonefish Grill. The Bonefish Grill Sunday Brunch Menu is available from 10:00am-2:00pm. We are not adventurous eaters, nor are we big seafood eaters so we were a bit nervous before we looked at the menu. The menu includes appetizers, soups & greens, omelets, brunch favorites, eggs Benedict, brunch cocktails & libations, hand helds, wood grilled fish, grilled & baked, and dessert. We are anti-alcohol so we didn’t pay attention to that part of the menu. We also had decided to order brunch/breakfast type foods vs the more typical lunch/dinner fare that was available.

After looking over the menu I was torn between two dishes, the Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict and the Half-Pound American Kobe Beef & Egg Burger. The Eggs Benedict was Toasted English muffin, crispy shrimp, poached eggs, green onions + spicy Hollandaise sauce. While the burger was described as The ultimate burger for lunch or brunch — toasted brioche bun, fully dressed with sharp cheddar, fried egg + special sauce, served with fresh greens or house-made chips.

I ended up choosing the Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict and it was delicious! The smooth texture of the eggs contrasted well with the crunchy shrimp. The dish wasn’t very spicy but you noticed the heat as you finished each bite. The potatoes au gratin on the side were cheesy deliciousness too.The serving was plentiful and I would order this dish again in a heartbeat.

Ron loves omelets so he opted for the Cajun Shrimp Omelet. This omelet consists of Goat cheese, onions, sweet bell peppers + creole sauce. He said it was delicious. The heat of the creole sauce was cut by the egg and he said it was a unique and tasty combination.

We seldom order dessert when we go out to eat but we decided to splurge. I had the Creme Brulee and Ron had the Key Lime Pie. The Creme Brulee was sweet and smooth while Ron said the Key Lime Pie was wonderfully tart and refreshing.
Decadent Desserts at Bonefish Grill for Sunday Brunch

This was our first visit to Bonefish Grill and I’m sure it won’t be our last. Though it was a bit pricey for our budget ($38 + tip), we left very full and didn’t even eat dinner that night because we were still full. The staff at the Bradenton Bonefish Grillon Cortez Rd was very attentive, almost too attentive at times. Have you ever been to Sunday Brunch at Bonefish Grill? They accept reservations, though our location was only about 1/4 full when we arrived at 12:30pm, it is better to be safe and plan ahead.
