This fall I attended a roundtable discussion hosted by the Blu-Ray Disc Association. During the roundtable we heard from Stephanie Prange, Home Media Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief and Andy Parsons from The Blu-ray Disc Association. The entire roundtable boiled down to this fact from Mr Parsons, “: Blu-ray gives you so many ways you can enjoy the content, from the best home theater experience all the way down to something you could even watch on your phone, contained in the same package.” Most Blu-rays are sold as combo packs which include the Blu-ray disc, the DVD and a digital copy so you can watch the movie in a variety of formats through multiple platforms. Packaging the discs in this way gives you more bang for your buck.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
