I was a nanny in Europe and often took buses by myself around the different countries without speaking the language. That was adventurous to me.

Probably going off the trail in my local state park. It was actually an interesting experience. It was kind of dangerous i know but i really loved going off the path and seeing everything without hearing other people walking around.

The biggest adventure I have ever been on was unintentional. 🙂 I worked at an orphanage & we had 4 troubled teens in our care. One Sunday afternoon while I was on duty, they wanted to go on a “walk”. The home was pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, so we set out across the big field behind the house. Over the course of our “adventure” we had to wade through a waist high creek, fully clothed & shod (I had on a new outfit). The mud was sucking us down. The kids kept telling me “DON’T STAND STILL, YOU’LL HAVE LEECHES ON YOU!” I was mortiphied, petrified………..and all other kind of “ieds”. Eventually we somehow ended up having to climb up really steep embankment (about 50 feet high) RIGHT on the river. I mean that sucker was practically STRAIGHT UP. It was the first time in my life I have ever contracted poison ivy. I’m sure it had something to do with the areas of our “walk” when we were crawling on our bellies because there was no other way to be mobile. I think I wrote about a 10 page entry in the journal that night & I wish I had it now, lol.
