In case you don’t have Disney Channel fanatics in your home I want to let you know about DCOM 100. Ok, if you aren’t Disney Channel fans first, we can’t be friends, and second, who are you? In our home of 3 adults Disney Channel is in the top 3 channels watched. We know we can count on good, clean family programming. Anyway, I’ll get off my soapbox. A DCOM is a Disney Channel Original Movie, a made-for-TV movie. Adventures In Babysitting happens to be the 100th DCOM. To celebrate this accomplishment Disney Channel has been showing all 99 DCOMs starting with a marathon over Memorial Day weekend and continuing during the over night hours through June 23rd. Yes, I got a new DVR days before Memorial Day, yes, my DVR is on overload, no, I didn’t record them all.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts
Hubby and I watched together. Neither of us have seen the 1980s movie of the same title so we couldn’t compare the two. We both felt Adventures In Babysitting reminded us a lot of “Home Alone” but with babysitters. It is well written and well-acted and will be enjoyed by tween boys and girls. This movie is a fun-filled over-the-top comedy of babysitting errors. It was nice to see Sabrina Carpenter play the good girl for a change. If you are looking for a great family comedy, get yourself a copy of “Adventures in Babysitting” on DVD.
