If you have a son or daughter in high school then I have a great book for you! Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk High School: 101 Stories of Life, Love, and Learning for Older Teens is another phenomenal book in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. This time readers are reminded that even though high school has its blemishes, you aren’t alone, other teens are going through what you are going through-and they have survived to write about it!
Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk High School: 101 Stories of Life, Love, and Learning for Older Teens is here to help with a variety of all new stories about real-life from teens dealing with regrets and lessons learned, self-image and self-acceptance, family relationships and more. As part of the all new Chicken Soup for the Soul ® teen series, it is specifically designed with high school students in mind. With topics ranging from “Not Like in the Movies” to “A Hard Lesson,” Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk High School inspires and supports teen readers as they struggle with fitting in, finding friends and whatever else comes with the high school years. It also helps parents prepare conversations with their children, on everything from divorce, to illness and death, dating and sex.
Inside Chicken Soup for the Soul: Teens Talk High School, you’ll also read about:
- How Michelle Vanderwist survived the emotional abuse from her boyfriend
- How Amy Anderson confronted an eating disorder, and took steps to heal
- How Cristy Trandahl didn’t make the high school cheerleading squad, became a Minnesota Vikings cheerleader, then quit in the middle of the season – more content than ever
- How Bryonna Garcia deals with being a teen parent

Hello! 🙂
I was searching for YA author blogs, and I came across this blog! Sounds awesome! 🙂 My name’s Taylor, and I recently became a YA author! 🙂 So, I’m always ready for some pointers, since I’m just 17 and fairly new to the writing business!
And let me say that the first thing that caught my eye when I looked at this blog was “About Me”…Christian; now that’s sweet! 🙂 Christ is the best thing that ever happened to me, and I have to say that He is entwined all over and in and around my book! 🙂
God bless,

Well, I already follow….
And, I have a 17 and 14 year old daughter. With my 17 yr old high school student, I’d say one of the things they struggle with figuring out what is acceptable and not. Some things have become so ‘normal’ when they should be shunned. For example texting illicit pictures between phones and the use of the internet. When my daughter and I talk about it, she’ll say,”But Mom, you don’t understand, it’s normal, everywhere that kids do that.” ……..scary stuff.

Hello Cindy,
great blog! I caught your link about the contest on twitter this morning. Great stuff. I haven’t had a chance to review your ‘past’ blogs, but would love an article on developing your children’s spiritual gifting. God bless,
Karen
