You know I am a huge fan of Disney movies and for years I have seen advertising for the Disney Movie Club but I ignored it because I thought, “I already own so many Disney movies. I don’t need a club to help me build my library.” I know some of you have though the exact same thing too.

In case you haven’t heard about the Disney Movie Club is is the official Disney-owned movie club. Currently, when you sign up you can choose 4 DVDs for $1.00 and free shipping and handling you can also choose a bonus title for $14.95 and an extra bonus title for $9.95, both with free shipping and gandling.. I tooled around the site and found several Disney movies I don’t currently own. My 4 introductory DVDs would be Dumbo, the original Tron, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pete’s Dragon. I own the last 2 movies on VHS but my VCR died and I can’t watch my old movies any more! My bonus titles would be Disney’s A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas.

After your introductory purchase you are obligated to purchase 5 regularly priced movies during the next 24 months (the 2 bonus DVDs available in your introductory offer count towards your required purchases so now you only need to purchase 3 full price DVDs in 24 months). So that is a pretty darn good deal! Thirteen times a year you will receive a mailer with the featured movie highlighted. You can just go to the website, or mail back the mailer-but who does that anymore, and order the featured movie, an alternate movie or nothing at all. It is that simple.

Being a member of the Disney Movie Club is a great way to keep family movie night fresh and fun. If you are looking for other family movie night tips just click that link for some fun ideas.

Are you a member of the Disney Movie Club? Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of it.

Disclosure: I am not a member of the club. I am being compensated for this blog post. All opinions are 100% mine.
