I was a scrapbooker for years, and I still have a closet full of now outdated scrapbooking products to show for it. The expense and time requirements for scrapbooking just became too much and I haven’t scrapbooked traditionally in years. I still love creating and giving personal photobooks as gifts and I wanted to share my most recent creation with you.

I made this 11×8.5″ hardcover photobook at Mixbook.com for my mother-in-law’s 65th birthday gift. In March 27 family members joined together at an awesome vacation home in Homosassa, FL for a family gathering. I used many of the photos I took that weekend to make this Photobook for my mother-in-law.

The Mixbook online software is rather easy to use. Like traditional scrapbooking, there are a lot of page layouts and additional embellishments you can use to personalize your pages. I spent about 2 hours on the site creating my 20 page hardcover book which costs $29.99.

From Mixbook:

Mixbook, a leading photo publishing company. Unlike our competitors, our photo books are 100% customizable, allowing users to begin with either a blank book or an existing template that can then be edited to their liking. Mixbook also has a unique collaboration feature which allows our users to invite friends and family to work on a project together. We offer competitive pricing and our email subscribers often receive exclusive discounts. Also, our customers love us and consistently give us a 5-star rating.

My mother-in-law LOVED her photobook and displayed it proudly at her birthday party. I enjoyed working with the Mixbook software and I was very impressed with the quality of the final product. I will be back in the future to make more Mixbooks and I hope you will check them out too! Current promotions at Mixbook.com

I have tried three different companies…and I was not overly impressed w/two of them (and one I love), so when someone writes about this one I tend to overlook it. Until now! Your book looks really, really great! I know the chances of me giving Mixbook a try in the future are high now. I’m kind of excited about it, actually. 🙂

I’ve seen Mixbook mentioned before, but I had no idea that their books were as detailed as this. These photo books will make unique gifts.
