Recently my husband and I settled in front of the TV to watch the movie The Father’s Love. We were looking forward to seeing a movie with a good redemption message. What we saw, in our opinion, was a great concept, not well executed.

The Father's Love

I did, in some ways relate to the lead character of Sarah who was looking for love in all the wrong places. That was the theme of 10 years of my life. Eventually I met the same true love that Sarah does, Jesus. I love a good deep, moving redemption story but this isn’t one of those.

Unfortunately we found the movie to be slow and very predictable. The score is so mellow we were both afraid we would fall asleep, my husband even got up and walked around the room to stay awake. The characters are rather one dimensional and very stereotypical. The entire movie felt superficial and we didn’t get invested in any of the characters.

I hate to give such a negative review but I know you value my honesty. There are much better movies and much better ways to spend 82 minutes of your life. I say pass on The Father’s Love.
