Graduation preparation is well under way, photos have been taken, invitations ordered and parties have been planned. Finishing school be it high school or college is a huge deal. Whether you have a graduate in your home or you are celebrating this milestone with a friend or family member, bringing an appropriate gift to the party is important. While gift cards are always good. I like to try and give a gift that is a little more personal. Here are a few of my top picks for Graduation Gifts.

Oh the places you'll goDr Seuss’ graduation speech Oh, The Places You’ll Go! Dr. Seuss addresses life’s ups and downs with his trademark humorous verse and illustrations, while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within.
Freshman Fabulous The Freshman Fabulous: The Girl’s Guide to College is a humorous, helpful and honest interactive guide written by a recent grad, for the future grad. It’s filled with real stories and advice ranging from what to wear on your first day of class, what to do when you fail a test, how to get internships, what to eat at the dining halls, dating on campus, roommate troubles and safety on campus.
50-Rules-ront-Cover-667x1024 A few years ago I reviewed the book 50 Rules For Sons. This book has brought me more traffic from Pinterest and more sales on Amazon than anything I have ever reviewed. Written for his son upon graduation from high school, Tim Hoch’s 50 Rules for Sons is an inspiring gift book that shares a father’s wisdom with sons who are leaving the nest. Lessons like: Be open to and unashamed of the possibility that you might be wrong. Take stock of where you’ve been, but don’t dwell on it. If you show up to class on time and sit in one of the first three rows, you will succeed. If you have a son graduating from high school…get him this book!
