February is pet dental health month, yes our fur babies need dental care too. Mushu’s teeth get a good cleaning every time she goes to the groomer, but we need to do things at home too. You won’t find me trying to brush her teeth but I do try to get her to enjoy some sort of dental cleaning treat at least once a week. That is no easy task though because Mushu likes soft treats much better than crunchy ones. She also prefers bite sided treats not larger ones that she needs to gnaw on. Of course, it is that gnawing action that helps scrape the plaque off the teeth.

KaNoodles dental chews for dogs from Chewy-

This month we tried KaNoodles Premium Dental Chews which we got from Chewy.com. I chose KaNoodles because they come in various sizes and they are a pasta-based chew made with wholesome grains, zinc and Omega-3 fatty acids. The crevices in each KaNoodles chew increase tooth surface interaction time and reach deep down to the base of each tooth.

As usual, at first Mushu sniffed and licked at the chew, and then she ignored it. Later in the day she carried it to her bed-that is a good sign. When she was ready she chewed it right up. This little lady just likes to do things on her time schedule and no one else’s. If you are looking for a dental chew for your dog, I recommend checking out KaNoodles or any of the others offered at Chewy.com.
