Last week I shared some of the candid shots of Aaron & Summer’s wedding ceremony this week I’m sharing wedding photos of the reception. I didn’t take many pictures during the reception because I was busy eating or dancing! We had a great time but we had to condense our timeline because the groom wasn’t feeling well. He had been battling a head cold all week and he had a fever the morning of the wedding. Well, his fever spiked mid-reception so we cut out some dancing, did the important stuff and sent them on their way. Thankfully, he was feeling much better by the time they boarded their cruise ship on Sunday afternoon.
Before the cake was cut, 60 additional white frosted cupcakes were added to the table.
I LOVE this picture taken by our friend and Aaron’s co-worker, Bill Martin.
The Shower Dance is a line dance type dance made popular at The 99 events (the missions group Jordan is with). The wedding party decided to flash mob this dance, starting with the best man and maid of honor to end the “formal” dances and open the dance floor to all of the guests. It was a big hit!
The bride and groom were very nice to each other while cutting the cake…this time. They practiced with the groom’s cake at the rehearsal dinner and well, let’s just say Summer had to wash her hair in the bathroom during the event because she had a lot of blue frosting in it!
I hope you enjoyed this peek into the wedding reception. Next week I’ll share a few of the stories from the wedding weekend.
