Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Even at my <ahem> young age, I take 2 prescription medicines a day for high blood pressure. I have been taking them for a while now and they are a regular part of my routine. Recently my Sam’s Club Pharmacy changed the packaging for both of my meds and I can’t open them! I told my husband I wanted to get a weekly pill container so I didn’t have to fight with the packaging so often and shortly after that conversation I was offered a chance to review the DAYBOX Extra-Large Weekly Pill Box by Sabi.

To open my current pill containers I need to tear or cut them because the new cardboard sleeves do not work nearly as well as the old plastic sleeves did. Once opened I don’t slide the pills back in because I hate fighting with the containers.

About the DAYBOX

The DAYBOX pill box is Sabi’s largest pill box, a weekly pill organizer for medication management featuring eight pill boxes, each inscribed with the day of the week (plus one extra!) and each with three extra-spacious pill box compartments, suitable for storing a large number of large-sized pills, vitamins and supplements. Eight individual daily pill boxes clip together to form a beautiful weekly pill box and easily detach so you can tote with you one daily pill box at a time. Each daily pill box is covered with a soft peel-back rubber lid that is easy on the hands to open and close, making loading with pills easy. Rounded compartments make extracting pills easy as well. The individual daily pill box fits well into any purse, bag or briefcase.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts

The DAYBOX is useful, especially if you take a lot of pills and supplements. The compartments are large 1″x 1″x 1″ which is much more space than I need. Since there are 8 days with 3 compartments each, the DAYBOX is versatile. If you take meds 3 times a day you could organize them and make sure they are taken appropriately. If you are like me and take all of your meds at the same time you can portion out 24 days worth of pills at once time and reduce the hassle of fighting with uncooperative packaging.

When all 8 days are joined together the DAYBOX measures a large 1″x 4″. When separated for daily travel, each day is 4″ x 1.25″ x 1.25″ which is a bit bulky to carry around all day, especially if you don’t take a lot of pills. The rubber lids are very easy to use and would be great for someone with arthritis, always be careful though because this pill container is not child-proof.

The Sabi DAYBOX is a bit much for my current needs but it would be a great product for someone who takes a lot of medicines, vitamins and/or supplements.

You can keep up with Sabi all over the web including on their blog, Facebook and Twitter.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
