Dog lovers, this one is for you! I like dogs, I had a dog growing up-his name was P.J. and he was an adorable beagle-basset mix. My boys have wanted a dog for years but, we have never had a dog. Dogs are great pets and you can learn a lot from your dog, if you pay attention.

Chicken Soup for the Soul:What I Learned from the Dog -101 Stories about Life, Love and Lessons, is a great book for any true dog lover. The book starts with a great forward by pet lifestyle expert Wendy Diamond. The 101 stories are broken down into sections including:  Learning about Family, Learning about Courage, Learning to Heal, and Learning to be Kinder. You will see your dog in some of these stories. Some of them will make you laugh, others may make you cry but every story in this book will touch the heart of a dog lover.

You can order your copy of the book from Amazon

I once had a chihuahua named Chongo. He was a great dog. I had to give him to a friend due to a move, but I still see him once in a while. I’d like to read this book. Thanks.

My favorite dog is my own dog. Bambina is a mixed terrier. She’s blonde, adorable, a loyal, faithful friend and a constant companion.

I have a 13 1/2 year old standard poodle named Andy. He is the light of my life. While he has been with me, I have been through the death of both parents, the loss of 2 jobs & many surgeries and health problems. He has been a huge source of comfort and love to me in my times of dispair and makes me laugh & smile on even my darkest days. Thank you.

My favorite dog was a dog I had when I was a little girl. He was a small white terrior named Tippy. I always remember he wiggled all the time and was so cute! I still miss him.

Snoop (Dogg) was my favorite. He was the puppy I adopted from a local animal shelter to keep me company while my husband was in Iraq. I can’t tell you how many times that dog curled up next to me on the couch or the bed and let me cry into his fur, b/c I hadn’t heard from my husband in days or weeks. He was so much fun too and LOVED to go for car rides with the windows down and his toungue hanging out! 😀

My favorite dog was the Afghan hound I had once upon a time. His name was Arthur and he was truly regal. Hands down the smartest dog I’ve ever known. Very soulful eyes, brimming with intelligence. I moved from a home in the country to an apartment in the city and unfortunately Arthur was miserable there. So I gave him away to a nice lady who lived in the country and had always wanted an Afghan. When she came to pick him up, she showed me her Afghan keychain and other accessories. I know Arthur went to a good home.
