I met the folks of eMeals at Type-A Con last fall. Since I blog about food weekly, and I am a failure at meal planning I thought eMeals might just be the answer to some of my meal time woes. That thought was right and I am excited to now be a part of the eMeals Blogger Team. With 4-5 adults living in our house, all working different schedules planning a family meal isn’t easy, and honestly right now it only happens about once a week. We tell the kids to let us know by 3pm if they will be home at 7pm for dinner or not so we can plan that night’s meal. This still doesn’t give me a lot of time to prepare in advance but it is what works for us.

Each week I receive my eMeals menu plan and recipes in my email box and via my iPhone app. I look over the meal suggestions and pick which ones my picky family will eat and make a grocery list from there with the help of the list that comes with my subscription. This way when 3 or more of us are going to be home, I should have all the ingredients on hand to whip up a nutritious meal for my family.

There are meal plans for all sorts of dining preferences: classic meals, paleo meals, vegetarian meals, clean eating, slow cooker, Mediterranean, low carb, low fat and may more!  eMeals is a great deal too. If you sign up for 12 months of eMeals it is only $58 a year!

Slow Cooker Creamy Pork Chops

One of our favorite eMeals recipes so far is Slow Cooker Creamy Pork Chops, which I made for my small group a few weeks ago.

Ingredients
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 3 lbs bone-in pork chops
Instructions
  1. Combine soup, sour cream and soup mix in a 6 quart slow cooker.
  2. Add pork chops.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Serve chops covered in gravy.
Recipe Notes

I suggest moving the chops around half way through cooking time so that they all spend some time cooking in the gravy.

The pork chops were delicious and fell right off the bone. Everyone loved them and we will be making these again soon.

Disclosure: I am part of the eMeals  blogger team, I have received a free eMeals subscription to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% mine.

Since I now live in my own apartment, I may need to start using them. Thanks for the reminder to look into them.
