In my continuing quest to find amazing desserts on Pinterest I came across this pin for Better Than Sex Cake. I have heard about this cake before and I decided it was time to try it for myself. I renamed the recipe to Better Than Anything Cake for SEO reasons. The cake is very easy to make and is very tasty but it doesn’t live up to either of its names 🙂 I tweaked the original recipe a bit but it is the cake mix I want you to check out. I’ve never seen or used a Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Fudge Cake mix before. It was the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten and I will use it as the basis for many more cakes in the future. I knew when I licked the beaters…yes, I still lick the beaters, that this was going to be a delicious cake.
- 1 box chocolate cake mix and any ingredients needed to make the cake following the instructions on the box
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 jar hot fudge sauce
- 1 8 oz container of Cool Whip I use Lite
- 1/2 bag Heath Bits 'O Brickle Toffee Bites
- Bake the cake in a 9x13 pan according to the directions on the box.
- As soon as the cake comes out of the oven, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes in the cake.
- Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over the entire cake.
- Allow cake to cool completely.
- Once the cake has cooled. Warm up the hot fudge so that it is pourable. Pour the fudge over the cake.
- Put the cake in the fridge to set for at least 30 minutes.
- Spread the Cool Whip over the cake and then sprinkle the toffee bits.
- Keep refrigerated until serving.
Time includes cooling time and refrigerating time.
