Many thanks to Pure Flix for providing a sample of the Live+Local for this review. Opinions are
100% my own.

I was so excited when I heard Affirm was making a streaming series about a morning show on a Christian radio station. You see, I worked on air at what was then a local Christian radio station from 1991-1995. I still work seasonally off air in phone central for all of the fundraising drives for the stations in our network. My oldest son has worked at Radio Training Network/The Joy FM for several years as IT Director and Project Manager so Christian radio is a passion in our family. Actually, I was saved through the ministry of The Joy FM, you can read about that here.

I was even more excited to find out that Dave Coulier, Joey from Full House and Fuller House, was playing one of the on air talents! The other major roles are played by Emily Pendergast, Pat Cashman and Kendra Ann Sherill.

About Live+Local

TnT In The Morning is the highest-rated local radio program – but Tommy and Tina have to navigate the ups and downs of the radio industry while trying to trust their new program director, Jerry.

The show is filled with real interviews from some of your favorite musicians, authors and speakers:

  • Danny Ray, author & magician
  • Leanne Morgan, comedian:
  • Skillet’s John Cooper
  • Christian singer Colton Dixon
  • Author Anna Lind Thomas
  • Christian band Anthem Lights
  • Chef and Master Chef winner Whitney Miller
  • comic and podcaster Dustin Nickerson
  • comedian Jeff Allen:
  • Dallas Jenkins, creator of “The Chosen”

The Mom Maven’s Thoughts

While Live+Local is not like any morning show I’ve ever heard, it make a fun TV show. Dave Coulier is great, he plays a great curmudgeon. We all experience change and transitions in our lives and that is what the cast is dealing with in episode 1. Tommy is set in his ways and has a “if it’s not broke, why fix it’ attitude and isn’t interested in any input from the new Programing Director. Tina wants to grow and improve as a host and not always play second fiddle to Tommy. Lucy has just been promoted to producer, which is intimidating and she is trying to find her place on the team. Jerry is the new guy, the Programing Director, the boss who wants to shake things up a bit.

I think it will be fun to go on this journey with these characters and see how they change and grow as the show continues. Episodes 1 and 2 are now available with additional episodes releasing weekly. Join Pure Flix now so you can watch Live+Local with your family.

This show sounds like it would be fun to watch! I really liked Dave in Full House and Fuller House. It would be fun to see him play a different type of character.
