I LOVE donuts. I know they are just about the least nutritional food on planet earth, but I love them anyway. I don’t eat them very often, of course, but sometimes I just want a donut. I kept seeing people baking donuts on some of my favorite competition cooking shows, and I really wanted to try it.

Soft and delicious, these easy baked donuts with simple glaze make for a delicious breakfast treat.
Donut batter in the pan.

I added these Wilton Silicone Donut Pans to my Christmas wish list with the hope of future baked donuts. Thankfully my sister got them for me 🙂 I started searching for recipes across the internet and noticed how similar most of them were. As I usually do, I mixed some recipes together and came up with these Easy Baked Donuts with Simple Maple Glaze. The glaze doesn’t have to be maple, you can change the flavor to suit your liking.

  2. Add in the milk 1/2 tsp at a time until desired consistency is reached. You may need to add a bit more confectioner’s sugar as well.
  3. Add food coloring if desired.
  4. Dip the Warm donuts into the glaze and back on to the wire rack to be decorated immediately.
  5. Allow glaze to set for 30 minutes before serving or storing in an airtight container.
