Happy New Year and Happy Win it Wednesday Giveaway Linky Day. I can’t believe it is 2019, wasn’t it just 2000? I’m showing my age!
Anyway…this year instead of making New Year’s Resolutions I’m focusing on creating new habits. I have a habit tracker in my planner that helps keep me accountable as well as the Streaks app on my Apple Watch. My new habits are things I want to start doing or be more consistent at like workout at least 4 days a week, read for pleasure for 30 minutes at least 3 days a week, successfully complete my morning routine at least 5 days a week. These habits are all measurable and important to my well being.
Each of these activities is scheduled in my planner so that it has a much better chance of getting done on that given day. I hate having leftover tasks at the end of the day, I get such pleasure from marking items off my list 🙂 Don’t you? When you prioritize your new habits they will quickly become part of your routine. Some experts say it takes 21 days to create a habit. In theory that might be true but we are all unique and some of us might take longer. Don’t focus on that though, just focus on doing more each week, until you are consistently hitting your goals.
You can do it, I know you can! I hope you create some great new habits in 2019!
