My favorite dish at our local Amish restaurant is their baked chicken.  We haven’t eaten there in ages, because we never go to that side of town anymore so I needed to find out how to make this delicious dinner. I found this recipe in an old church cookbook and it was contributed by an older lady who was raised Amish. It tastes just like the chicken I get at the restaurant and it is very easy to make.

Amish Baked Chicken

This recipe is best when made with chicken which still has its skin on. Chicken thighs are great or breasts with rib meat work well too. This is an added bonus because these cuts of meat cost less!

Thank you for the recipe. I printed it out. I never fry chicken only bake it. Usually I only sprinkle garlic salt on it, but I think this will be tastier.

This was great. I often need a quick meal, and this one is it! Minimal dirty dishes in the end adds to the short of time issues.
