I received one or more of the products or services mentioned for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
Recently my husband and I had the privilege of joining with other local ministry leaders to view the movie War Room. This is the fifth movie by the Kendrick Brothers.  While War Room is different than the others, it will have a great impact. The movie hits select theaters on August 28, 2015. Find the theater closest to you that will be showing the film by clicking this link. If the movie isn’t scheduled to be in your area, you can help bring it to a theater near you! Learn how by visiting the group ticket section of the website.

About War Room

From the award-winning creators of Fireproof and Courageous comes War Room, a compelling drama with humor and heart that explores the power that prayer can have on marriages, parenting, careers, friendships, and every other area of our lives.

Tony and Elizabeth Jordan have it all—great jobs, a beautiful daughter and their dream house. But appearances can be deceiving. Tony and Elizabeth Jordans’ world is actually crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. While Tony basks in his professional success and flirts with temptation, Elizabeth resigns herself to increasing bitterness. But their lives take an unexpected turn when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara, and is challenged to establish a “war room” and a battle plan of prayer for her family. As Elizabeth tries to fight for her family, Tony’s hidden struggles come to light. Tony must decide if he will make amends to his family and prove Miss Clara’s wisdom that victories don’t come by accident.

Mom Maven’s Thoughts

I don’t want to give too much away about War Room. I do want you to mark your calendar and make plans to see it opening weekend, and bring your friends. In the same way that Facing the Giants fired up our youth, Fireproof saved marriages and Courageous helped men become better fathers, War Room spurs us all on to deepening our prayer life, making it more purposeful and doing battle against the devil and his minions. If you watch this movie and aren’t moved to prayer then you have a cold heart of stone. I said this movie is different and it is. To me, this movie is aimed more to the church, especially to lukewarm Christians, than to the general public. This movie is less evangelistic and more a rallying cry for God’s people to have a battle plan and to execute that plan in their war room.

Spiritual warfare is a difficult subject for an entertaining movie but, as usual, the Kendrick brothers do an amazing job. The movie was well written and very well acted. Karen Abercrombie plays the role of Miss Clara like no one else could.

Please tell you pastor and your friends about War Room, visit the website and see how you can get involved in spreading the news about this powerful movie.
