So, I never got around to meal planning for April <gasp>! My meal plans always include the new recipes that I want to share here on the blog so, this week I was at a loss. I looked through my pantry and freezer to see what I had on hand and then I searched Pinterest for recipes. I came up with an super easy, new family favorite. This Caramelized Italian Dressing Chicken recipe only has 3 ingredients and they are all pantry staples. I hope you like it as much as we did.

This quick and easy 3 ingredient recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight.

Ingredients
  • 1 packet dry Italian Dressing Mix I use Good Seasons
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Line a 13x9" pan with aluminum foil. Spray foil with non-stick spray.
  3. Trim fat from chicken and pound breasts to 1/2" thickness.
  4. In a quart size zippy bag pour brown sugar and Italian Dressing mix.
  5. Seal bag and mix well.
  6. Rinse chicken under running water, one piece at a time and then place in the bag.
  7. Seal bag and shake until chicken is well coated.
  8. Place chicken in pan.
  9. Repeat until all chicken is coated.
  10. Pour remaining sugar mixture on top of chicken in pan.
  11. Bake a 350° for 15 minutes.
  12. Flip chicken over.
  13. Bake for another 15 minutes.
  14. Then change to broil-broil for 2 minutes.
  15. Flip chicken over.
  16. Broil for 2 more minutes.
  17. Spoon additional sauce over chicken when serving.
Recipe Notes

Serve with rice and a vegetable.

This recipe was so easy and both my husband and I really liked it. It has great flavor and texture. He said to make sure this is a regular on the meal plan…I guess I need to get May’s meal plan done!

    Absolutely amazing and simple. We used chicken thigh and dark meat, turned out perfect per directions.
