If you have been a reader here for a while, you know of my obsession with salted caramel pretzel-anything! So when I saw this recipe at Living Well Spending Less, I had to try it out. It is easy to make and tastes wonderful! This rich treat is perfect for the upcoming fall season or anytime you want a sweet treat.

Salted Caramel Pretzel Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pretzel twists
  • 4 TBS melted butter
  • 1 box brownie mix PLUS eggs, water and oil called for on box
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 12 oz caramel sauce
  • sea salt

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°.
  2. Spray the bottom of a 13×9″ pan with cooking spray.

  5. Fold in the milk chocolate chips.
  6. Place the pretzel crumbs in the bottom of the 13×9″ pan.  Pretzel Crust-salted caramel pretzel brownies-themommaven.com
  7. Drizzle with melted butter.
  8. Mix well and press pretzel crust to the bottom of the pan.
  9. Carefully pour the brownie batter evenly over the pretzel crust.  Brownie Batter-salted caramel pretzel brownies-themommavem.com
  10. Drizzle caramel over brownie batter in a zig-zag pattern.  Adding Caramel-salted caramel pretzel brownies-themommaven.com

  12. Sprinkle the sea salt over the brownies.
  13. Bake at 350° for approximately 25 minutes (check box for baking time).
  14. After baking, allow brownies to cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
