We have been a veggie Tales from the beginning. Both Aaron and Veggie Tales were born in 1993 so he has been a Veggie Tales kids since birth. We had all of the videos on VHS and the songs on CDs. We can sing a Silly Song at the drop of a hat and have a funny story about the Hairbrush song that I won’t share right now. 🙂 Veggie Tales are a part of life around here and even though my kids are grown, they all got excited when I opened the new Veggie Tales DVD “The Little House That Stood”. Why? Veggie Tales means family fun, great animation, good music, great comedy for kids and adults alike and best of all, Biblical values.
Veggie Tales-The Little House That Stood
The kids weren’t home to watch “The Little House That Stood” with my husband and I the other night, and that didn’t matter. We watched our old friends Bob the Tomato, Larry the Cucumber, Junior Asparagus and the rest of the gang mash-up the story of the Three Little Pigs with the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders. We both laughed out loud at times, which scared the puppy! This DVD also includes a new Silly Song with Larry and “The Good Egg of Gooseville” aka Humpty Dumpty!

This DVD, along with all of the other Veggie Tales stories are fun teaching tools for all families. The core themes of this DVD are “Start with a firm foundation” and “Be a good neighbor”. Both lessons even we adults need to remember. Veggie Tales has even created a discussion guide to help families extend the lessons learned in these stories.

Little House Discussion Guide

This DVD would make a great Easter or birthday gift or even just an “I love you” gift for the child in your life. “The Little House That Stood” hits shelves at Walmart today, March 5, 2013 or you can order it online at VeggieTales.com.  One lucky reader of The Mom Maven will win their very own copy!
