Breakfast Bake with Hash Brown Crust

shredded cheddar cheese

vegetable oil

Crust

Preheat oven to 425°

In a bowl combine the hash browns, 1 cup of cheese and vegetable oil.

Press hash brown mixture into bottom and up sides of a medium casserole dish.

Bake for 20 minutes until crisp and golden.
Filling

While the crust is cooking, brown and scramble the sausage.

In a large bowl whisk the eggs.

Mix in the sausage, 1 cup cheese, salt and pepper
Final Steps

Decrease oven temperature to 350°

Pour filling into pre-baked crust.

Bake for an additional 25 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.
You can substitute 6 crumbled cooked bacon strips for the sausage.
You can also add veggies if you like.
